We are pleased to announce International Semiotic Conference, ‘Semiotics of Cultural Heritages : From Authenticity to Informatics’ to be held between 7-10 May 2015 in İstanbul University.

Congress language is:  - English, French or Turkish-

Semiotics of Cultural Heritages is an international research project founded by Professor Eero Tarasti  two years ago. It is largely based upon his theory of  existential semiotics.
The projects has now over 80 members, scholars from all over the world. It has already convened a.o. in Imatra, Kaunas, Rome and Sofia. And now – in Istanbul…

The Semiotics of Cultural Heritages project celebrates the 90th anniversary of the distinguished Rumanian semiotician and mathematician, Academician Solomon Marcus. He is representing the European scientific tradition by the creativity and profundity of his contribution to the semiotic studies. Prof. Marcus will deliver an honorary guest lecture titled “Cultural Heritage: Traps and Dramatic Choices”.
